The goal of the Prenatal Program is to promote optimal health and wellness of our prenatal patient and her unborn child throughout her pregnancy. Our program provides comprehensive prenatal care from the initial exam throughout pregnancy, including post partum check-up. The Florida Department of health in Seminole County has had approximately 800 new prenatal patients come to us for their prenatal care from July of 2012 to June 2013 and our patient satisfaction rate is 99%.
We encourage every patient to begin their care during the first trimester to promote optimal outcomes for both the mother and baby. At the time of the patients initial exam they will choose the delivery hospital of their choice. The two hospitals that patients have to choose from are:
Central Florida Regional Hospital
Florida Hospital Altamonte
Once a patient has decided on the hospital of choice, they will be assigned to a private obstetrician or midwife that will care for them during their pregnancy and post partum period. Some of the many services offered on our site are non stress tests, blood work, comprehensive prenatal health education and counseling, social services, acute care visits, WIC and Healthy Start. Any patient in need of high risk prenatal care will get referred to Winnie Palmer Hospital for a consultation or transfer of services. Our prenatal case manager is available for any questions or concerns that may arise and our staff doctors are on call every day after 5:00 and on weekends.
Our prenatal staff is sensitive to multicultural and multilingual needs. All services are provided in a strictly confidential manner following HIPAA Guidelines.
