Travel Medicine

Many people travel for business and pleasure. There are vaccine recommendations for travel to most countries. When planning a trip, check to make sure if vaccines are required or recommended for the countries being visited.

The Centers for Disease Control has an excellent web page for travel immunizations located at: www.cdc.gov/travel

The following vaccines are commonly recommended for travelers to certain areas: Td, Typhoid, Yellow Fever, Meningococcal, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, MMR and Polio

Prescriptions to prevent malaria infections are also commonly recommended.
