Give Your Baby a Healthy Start

The Healthy Start program is available to all Pregnant Women and Mothers with infants in Seminole County. This program is voluntary and eligibility is not based on financial factors. A Free Health Screening is provided at your first visit with the Doctor or at the Hospital after your baby is born. This helps to identify if Your Baby is At-Risk for Poor Outcomes Such as:

Pre-term birth Health problems Fetal/infant death

Low birth weight Development delays

Benefits and Services:

Healthy Start helps all women obtain the following medical services, social services and instructional support: Assistance in Spanish is available (Hablamos Español).

Breastfeeding Support Family Planning Counseling Personal Care Coordination Mom Care Program Natural Childbirth Classes Text4Baby - Free message service

Infant Care Education Nutrition Education Referrals WIC Referrals Mental Health Referrals Community Referrals as needed

You can become a Healthy Start Participant by asking for your
Healthy Start Screening from your Doctor or midwife and
when your baby is born.

All you have to do is say "YES" to the Healthy Start Screening!
